Qatar saw a significant drop in traffic violations in February, according to official statistics released by Qatar Planning and Statistics Authority on Wednesday.
The report said traffic violations dropped 7.5 percent in February month-on-month. A total of 617 traffic accidents were registered in February, a monthly decrease of 11 percent.
Traffic accident deaths dropped 37.5 percent on a monthly basis in February with 10 deaths.
The total number of registered vehicles jumped 19.2 percent on an annual basis to 6,015. Meanwhile, a total of 7,229 new licences were issued in February.
Electricity consumption dropped 6.1 percent on a monthly basis to 2701.1 GWh.
Water consumption was 49541.9, down 4.9 percent on a monthly basis but up 62 percent compared to February of 2019.
