Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed al Hammadi on Tuesday held a video conference with members of the Advisory Committee for Government School
Principals.
At the beginning of the conference, the minister praised the progress of the electoral process for selecting the members of the committee and the transparency of its results.
He called on the members of the committee members to be the voice that reflects the conditions of the school community, especially by defining the challenges they face as school leaders, as well as the challenges their fellow teachers face.
The minister stressed the need to enhance communication to receive opinions that will help to develop the educational system and the performance of schools.
He called on the elected members to set an agenda for the next stage to study the issues facing the school community, noting the importance of employing electronic work in the upcoming meetings, in line with the precautionary measures during this emergency health condition.
The committee elected Principal of Hassan Bin Thabit Secondary School Abdulla Ali Rashid al Rabiah al Kuwari as its chairman and Principal of Al Wajba Preparatory School Mariam Mohammed Abdulla al Neama as vice-chairperson. (QNA)
