Qatar Pharma will set up a production line for face masks with a capacity to produce 6 million pieces a month by the end of April, its Chairman Dr Ahmed Mohamed al Sulaiti has said.
“The masks will be of surgical type and will significantly meet the local demand,” said Dr Ahmed. The production line was being readied by specialised technicians, he added.
He said Qatar Pharma recently developed a herbal medicine that would increase the efficiency of the human immune system.
“We have conducted clinical tests of this product and are awaiting the approval from the Ministry of Public Health,” Dr Ahmed said, expressing hope that the product will be ready for mass production in a short time.
“The product uses six types of herbs known for their ability to raise the efficiency of the immune system,” he told Al Rayaan TV.
Dr Ahmed said the product has been tried on many people and proven efficient in strengthening the immune system.
