London Britain’s Prince Charles discussed his “distressing” battle with coronavirus in a video message broadcast on Wednesday following the end of his self-isolation.
Charles, 71, said he was lucky to suffer only “relatively mild symptoms,” in his first public comments since the royal family confirmed last week that he had tested positive for Covid-19.
“I now find myself on the other side of the illness, but still in no less a state of social distance and general isolation,” he said from his home in Scotland, where he had self-isolated.
“As we are all learning, this is a strange, frustrating and often distressing experience when the presence of family and friends is no longer possible and the normal structures of life are suddenly removed,” the heir to the British throne said. (DPA)
