Qatar Charity (QC) has announced that it will automatically renew the monthly disbursement of assistance to all its registered beneficiaries, whose entitlements are due to expire soon, for the next three months without having to appear in person.
The move was made to facilitate the provision of monthly aid to beneficiaries, including hundreds of families with limited income, widows and divorced women, within the country, as part of the precautionary measures taken by the State of Qatar, which request citizens and residents to stay at home to prevent the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country.
This monthly assistance is part of the social welfare efforts of Qatar Charity to support low-income families within the country in order to improve their living standards, especially given the conditions created by the Coronavirus pandemic. The move was necessitated within the framework of its responsiveness to society, in line with the directives on staying at home.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar Charity pays great attention to the development of society in various fields under the Qatar National Vision 2030, in particular social welfare, by providing assistance to low-income people, widows, divorced women, patients and others, in addition to implementing projects and activities for families and individuals to develop their capabilities.
Qatar Charity is implementing several local community programmes and projects that benefit thousands of low-income families, workers, orphans and Asian expatriate communities annually, with the aim of promoting a culture of doing good, helping those in need, developing skills and capacities of participants through workshops and training courses in the context of their different community development centres.
