The Cabinet, at a meeting chaired Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al Thani, on Wednesday, approved hosting a seminar organised by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on emerging technologies in the field of air control, set to take place in the final quarter of 2020.
Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Dr Issa bin Saad al Jafali al Nuaimi said the Cabinet also approved a memorandum of understanding between GCC member countries in the field of Waqf.
The Cabinet also took the necessary measures needed to ratify a memorandum of understanding between the government of Qatar represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth (OSGEY).
The Cabinet then discussed and took the appropriate measures on:
1- A study prepared by the Legislative Department of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers on the recommendation of the Shura Council that punishment imposed for violation should be commensurate with the gravity of the wrongful act.
2- The views of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment on the Shura Council’s recommendation regarding judicial seizure.
3- A draft decision from the Minister of Interior to amend some provisions of the executive regulations of the Traffic Law issued in decision No 6 of the year 2010.
