Seven more people, including two Qatari citizens, tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday, taking the total number of cases in the country to 501, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced.
Four more patients made recovery from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 37, the MoPH said.
The new cases are related to travellers who recently came to Qatar and expatriate workers. “The new infected patients are in complete isolation, and they are receiving necessary medical care,” the MoPH said.
The statement said the ministry continues to conduct the necessary checks for all citizens coming from abroad, in addition to all those involved in the affected cases.
So far, 11,354 people have been tested for the virus in Qatar. No death has been reported yet.
