Twenty food establishments in Doha and Al Wakra have been shut down for periods ranging from five to 30 days for violating health guidelines.
The violations were detected during an inspection campaign by municipal and health control authorities.
The authorities have stepped up inspections of commercial establishments to ensure their compliance with health standards as part of a broader campaign to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country. The two-week campaign saw 20 health inspectors raiding 762 outlets over a two-week period. Recently, three food outlets were shut down in Al Wakra.
