In line with the directives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to restrict the spread of coronavirus, the DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) successfully started virtual classes for Class XII students on March 16.
The students attend the classes through video conferencing, where they can interact with teachers on a real-time basis, follow the lessons and ask questions. This also provides the students with out-of-school academic support and guidance.
Virtual classes for Class X will commence on March 22. If the situation continues in the new session of 2020-2021, the school is planning to arrange virtual classrooms for rest of the classes.
“We believe that no technology can replace teachers and the classroom environment in an education system, but at this point of crisis, schools and students will definitely benefit from the new technology,” said a press statement from the school.
