The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Thursday met Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) HE Dr Nayef bin Falah al Hajraf at the Amiri Diwan on Thursday. Dr Nayef met the Amir to greet His Highness on the occasion of his appointment as the GCC secretary-general. The Amir congratulated the secretary-general, wishing him well in his role to serve the joint interests of the people of GCC countries, stressing Qatar’s commitment to the unity of the GCC. For his part, the GCC secretary-general thanked the Amir for Qatar’s role in supporting the council. (QNA)
