Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials on Thursday praised the achievements of the Police College in a short time as the college witnessed the graduation of its second batch of 110 officers.
The officials said the college has established itself internationally for the quality of training provided by it, and the high performance of its earlier graduates.
Director General of Public Security Staff Major General HE Saad bin Jassim al Khulaifi described Police College as one of the ministry’s biggest achievements in the past few years, pointing out that it trains capable police officers in line with the highest regional and international standards. Khulaifi said there were high expectations from this year’s graduates.
For his part, Advisor to the Minister of Interior HE Major General Dr Abdullah Yousef al Mal, who is also deputy chairman of the Supreme Council of Police College, said the training would help this year’s graduates in carrying out their duties.
He added that the college continues to develop its educational programmes through specialised courses.
The Director of the International Cooperation Department Major General Abdulaziz al Ansari said the Police College has become a beacon of knowledge in the security field.
Meanwhile, the Assistant of Director of Public Security Major General Abdullah Mohammed al Suwaidi said the MoI spares no effort to develop security operations and build capabilities, noting that the Police College was an important component of developing human capital in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Director of National Command Centre (NCC) Major General Khalifa Abdullah al Nuaimi and Head of Human Resources Major General Khalifa Nasr al Nasr also praised the regional position of Police College. The officials then congratulated the graduates for their efforts over the past four years. (QNA)
