International Weightlifting Federation President Dr Tamas Ajan voluntarily stepped aside for 90 days after a marathon meeting, held in Doha on Wednesday. Dr Ajan took this decision in the interest of the sport which is facing many corruption allegations from the German media. A three-member committee has been formed to look into the matter. Ursula Papandrea, the Woman Vice-President of the IWF, has been appointed to run the federation as an interim head.
