IN keeping with its values of sustainability, the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) has launched a Metro shuttle bus link between Qatar University Metro Station and its campus.
The bus will run once an hour in off-peak hours and every 30 minutes in peak times.
“I felt it was important to do our part to support the Doha Metro and keep as many cars off the road as we can,” said Dr Khalifa al Khalifa, president of CNA-Q.
He added, “We all need to do our part to cut down on harmful emissions, and ease traffic congestion. This will also benefit our students and employees.”
The Doha Metro has been a huge hit with commuters since it opened in May, last year. It currently has three lines with an approximate overall length of 76 km and 37 stations.
The shuttle bus was full of CNA-Q students and employees on its first day of operation.
“This is very convenient for me. It saves me money on transportation costs, and also helps with not having to worry about parking”,said one satisfied rider, on the way from Qatar University to CNA-Q.
