As many as 3,752 real estate transactions worth QR22.4 billion took place in Qatar in 2019, according to a report published by the Ezdan Real Estate Company on Wednesday.
The transactions were spread across throughout the year over various municipalities, the report
said, citing the Ministry of Justice’s Real Estate Registration Department
figures.
In the first quarter, the country saw 1,065 transactions worth QR5.1 billion. In the second, the value increased to QR5.7 billion from 930 transactions. While the third quarter saw the generation of QR4.5 billion from 823 property sales, the last quarter hit a record high with QR 7.1 billion in value from 934 real estate deals.
In December alone, the market saw 234 deals worth QR1.2 billion. A highlight of the month came in the third week between December 22 and 26, which recorded 51 transactions accounting for a total value of QR153 million.
These deals took place in several municipalities, including Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakhira, Doha, Al Rayyan, Shamal, Al Daayen and Al Wakrah. The sales included
land lots, multi-use buildings and residential structures.
