The Kindergarten Section at Birla Public School (BPS) celebrated its Annual Day with great zest and vibrancy, showcasing a magnificent cultural performance by the students at the school auditorium on December 12 and 13. The cultural fiesta was titled ‘Natureza’19’ and the colourful display of talents mesmerised the audience.
Chairman Lukose K Chacko, Vice-Chairman Gope Shahani, Directors Dr Mohan Thomas and C V Rappai, Principal A P Sharma, members of the leadership team and other dignitaries attended the function.
The guests were accorded a warm welcome at the school reception by the principal, staff and students. They were escorted by a procession of the children to the school auditorium and given saplings as a token of gratitude as a part of the ‘Green Hands’, an initiative to spread love for greenery. The event commenced with a welcome song by the Kindergarten Choir.
Principal A P Sharma welcomed the gathering and shared his inspiring views on how to prepare the students for a competitive and self-sustainable future. This was followed by the Annual Report presentation by the Kindergarten coordinator Josephine Carlos.
In his speech, Director C V Rappai said effective verbal communication nurtures the process of socialisation by facilitating new friendships and these in turn aid the learning process. Adding to this, Director Dr Mohan Thomas emphasised on teachers having a significant, lifelong impact on their students.
The cultural extravaganza with the themes ‘Winds of Change’ and ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ left a lasting impression on everyone. The guests, parents and well-wishers appreciated the performances that reflected the team efforts of students and staff. An ocean of talents was showcased through students compering, dancing, acting and singing.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Marziya Fazal and Vincy John, academic supervisors of Kindergarten 1 and 2 on the two days, respectively. The cultural fiesta ‘Natureza 19’ with full of exuberance, excitement and entertainment created beautiful memories for all.
