QATAR Charity (QC) has signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with Talabat to sell virtual meals through the latter’s website, in support of charitable projects and relief activities implemented by Qatar Charity across the globe.
The pact was inked by Abdulaziz Jassim Haji, director of the Customer Service Department at Qatar Charity, and Francisco De Sousa, managing director of Talabat QFC LLC, as part of the social responsibility of the company, with the aim of boosting social solidarity and supporting humanitarian action.
Under the deal, the two parties agreed to add Qatar Charity to the list of restaurants available on Talabat’s website, as a virtual charitable restaurant that will sell three virtual meals at the prices of QR20, QR50 and QR100, respectively. They also agreed to transfer donations collected within virtual meals purchase through Talabat’s website to the bank account of Qatar Charity at the beginning of each month.
Expressing his pleasure over addition of Qatar Charity to Talabat’s website, Haji emphasised the importance of building partnerships with relevant entities to support charitable and humanitarian action, hoping that other companies would also support charitable projects meant for those most in need worldwide.
For his part, Francisco de Sousa, was delighted at entering into a partnership with Qatar Charity, which will provide a channel for the charity organisation to collect donations for its humanitarian projects, as Talabat’s website will facilitate the selling of virtual meals of Qatar Charity.
“For us, it’s an opportunity to leverage our platform to enable our customers to give back to the Qatari community in a meaningful way”, said de Sousa, adding, “through our partnership with Qatar Charity, we look forward to creating more opportunities like this one to give back to our community and invite our users to come with us on this journey.”
