THE foundation stone for the Military Medical City project was laid on Thursday in the presence of Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces Lt-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al Ghanim.
The Medical City project aims to provide high-quality medical services for officers, individuals, armed forces personnel and their families.
A number of senior officers of the armed forces, in addition to those responsible for the Medical City project, attended the ceremony.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, the Chief of Staff took a tour of the project during which he was briefed about the medical city, its capacity and the services it will provide, as well as the medical specialties it will cover.
