Prague: Six people are dead after shots were fired in a hospital in the Czech city of Ostrava, Prime Minister Andrej Babis told public broadcaster CT on Tuesday.
The 42-year-old man who fired the shots fled in a car. When he was spotted by a police helicopter he committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, police said on Twitter.
Ostrava’s university hospital said that the victims were four men and two women, and that two other people were seriously injured in the attack and had to undergo emergency surgery. (DPA)
