MALAYSIAN Prime Minister Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad will visit Qatar University (QU) on Friday, December 13, during his historical trip to Qatar.
Dr Mahathir will deliver a speech on the strong and strategic bilateral relations between Qatar and Malaysia and will hold a dialogue with the guests.
Dr Mahathir will be welcomed by QU President Dr Hassan bin Rashid al Derham along with a number of members of the Board of Trustees, vice-presidents, deans of faculties, students, faculty members, and members of the general community.
During the lecture, which will be held at Ibn Khaldun Hall, Dr Derham will award an honorary doctorate to the Malaysian prime minister.
This will mark the second honorary doctorate awarded by Qatar University after President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdo?an in December, 2015.
