Tehran: Israel would “bitterly regret” bombing Iran, government spokesman Abbas Mousavi said on Monday, two days after the Israeli foreign minister said the country would consider doing so to stop Tehran from creating a nuclear weapon.
“We will retaliate if there is any military aggression by the Zionist regime, so that they bitterly regret their stupidity,” Mousavi said.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said in an interview with Italy’s Corriere della Sera newspaper that bombing Iran was “an option.” “We will not allow Iran to produce or obtain nuclear weapons. If it were the last possible way to stop this, we would act militarily,” Katz said. (DPA)
