Qatar a role model for labour reforms in region: German envoy

Qatar’s implementation of sweeping reforms to its labour market has made the country a role model for the whole region, German Ambassador to Qatar HE Hans-Udo Muzel said on Wednesday. Delivering a speech during a function to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in Doha, Muzel said, “Qatar has started implementing sweeping and impressive reforms to its labour market, taking a momentous step forward in improving the work and living conditions of migrant workers.” —Satyendra Pathak page 2
