The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Monday issued an instrument of ratification approving the terms of reference between the United Nations (UN), represented by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and Qatar, regarding the establishment of an OCHA Office in Doha, signed in Doha on December 16, 2018.
HH the Amir also ratified an agreement between the governments of Qatar and Croatia on exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and special passports, signed in Zagreb on November 19, 2018.
HH the Amir ratified an agreement between Qatar and the Government of the Hellenic Republic on exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service or special passports, signed in Doha on May 2, 2019. HH the Amir ratified a cooperation agreement between Qatar and the International Organization for Migration, signed in Doha on December 16, 2018.
HH the Amir issued Decree No 42 of 2019, ratifying an air transport agreement between Qatar and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland signed in London on June 24, 1998.
HH the Amir also issued Decree No 43 of 2019 ratifying an agreement between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Government of Qatar signed in Doha on December 16, 2018. Besides, His Highness issued Decree No 44 of 2019 approving Qatar’s accession to the convention establishing the International Development Law Organization (IDLO).
The decrees are effective starting from the date of issuance and are to be published in the Official Gazette.
HH issued an instrument of accession approving Qatar’s accession to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and its Protocol on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment, signed in Cape Town on November 16, 2001.
He also issued an instrument of accession approving Qatar’s accession to the Protocol of 1988 relating to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974 (SOLAS).
