A Canadian health education delegation will visit Qatar on November 21, to promote collaborations between Canadian and Qatari organisations.
The Canadian International Health Education Association (CIHEA), will be engaging in thoughtful discussions with its Qatari peers on ways to expand the quality of health profession education in both countries. The areas of focus will include medicine, nursing, dental and allied health.
The visit aims to explore best practices in the delivery of quality care through better educated and trained health professionals.
“There has been strong and growing interest in Qatar towards engaging with Canadian organisations and I must say the feeling is mutual,” said Dr Andrew Padmos, board chair of CIHEA and chief executive officer of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Ambassador of Canada to Qatar HE Stefanie McCollum said, “I am pleased to see close cooperation between Canadian and Qatari health education leaders.” (TNN)
