The University Foundation College organised an event recently about cancer and its prevention methods as part of its Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign.
UFC is keen on raising students’ awareness on health issues and modern diseases in order to encourage a healthy lifestyle among Qatar’s youth. Human development is one of the main pillars of Qatar’s 2030 Vision which includes the development of a healthy society. University Foundation College is focused on playing an active role in ensuring Qatar realises that vision.
The Breast Cancer Awareness campaign at UFC included many activities aimed at raising awareness of various cancer types, causes and methods of prevention. It also shed light on the importance of early detection of the disease as one of the most important aspects of prevention and successful treatment.
Abeer Malaeb, a health awareness trainer from the Ministry of Culture and Sports, delivered an awareness lecture on the many risks of this deadly disease. Students at UFC expressed their support for breast cancer patients through fundraising and various activities.
