The organising committee of the Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran Contest at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs said they’ll hold the 26th edition of the event on Saturday.
The committee announced that 841 male and female contestants (727 males and 114 females) have registered to participate in the competitions.
The committee will hold the first phase tests for female residents in the morning at Quran memorisation centres for women in Al Waab area.
Male residents in the first phase will compete for four days from Sunday to Wednesday, November 17 to 20, in the morning and evening periods at Imam Mohammed Bin Abdul Wahab Mosque. (QNA)
