The country is likely to witness scattered rain in the coming days, according to Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).
“Chances of scattered rain expected to continue during the coming days and it may become thundery at times in some areas,” the QMD said. Preliminary indications show the possibility of another state of atmospheric instability affecting the country by next mid-week due to extension of a low pressure system over the region lasting for several days intermittently with good chances of rain of variable intensity.
“Weather inshore until 6am on Thursday will be partly cloudy and moderate temperature by night,” the QMD said.
Offshore, it will be partly cloudy at times with chance of scattered rain that may be thundery, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea. Wind inshore will be mainly northeasterly to northwesterly at a speed of 4 to 10 knot reaching 15 knot at places. (TNN)
