INDIAN photographer Firos Syed has won the first position in a photography competition organised recently by the Ministry of Awqaf in Qatar under the category ‘Eid Al-Fitr prayer’.
Syed won the award for his entry in which he had beautifully portrayed Eid Al-Fitr prayers at a mosque in Doha.
The award carrying a cash prize and a certificate of appreciation was presented to him in Doha.
Syed has an excellent record of capturing lively scenes at sports events as well as in showcasing the
cultural and heritage
aspects of life. He has won awards in photography contests organised by the Cultural Village ‘Katara’, Qatar Olympic & Sports
Museum, and many other sociocultural organisations.
