Qatar Charity (QC) has received in-kind donations from Msheireb Properties for the ‘Digital Inclusion’ campaign, which was launched by the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), in cooperation with Qatar Charity and Mall of Qatar recently.
The electronic devices, which were received by Jassim al Emadi, director of the Local Development Department at Qatar Charity, included desktop computers, laptops, office accessories, printers and phones.
Emadi thanked Msheireb Properties for its contribution to the humanitarian work, affirming Qatar Charity’s keenness to collaborate with all, including institutions and individuals, within the country to achieve the noble humanitarian goals.
He added that the donation came in support of the ‘Digital Inclusion’ campaign to contribute to the target groups’ technical capability development and support Qatar Charity’s projects for low-income workers. Qatar Charity recycles and donates the items to those targeted by the campaign.
Emadi said the ‘Digital Inclusion’ campaign would continue with Qatar Charity’s branches receiving donations until the end of this month.
He also urged institutions, companies and individuals to contribute to such a charitable and humanitarian campaign.
“We always strive to participate in such good initiatives as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy in compliance with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030 to contribute to the sustainable development of the country,” said Maryam al Jassim, Public Relations manager at Msheireb Properties.
“Our contribution to this campaign consists of than 100 different electronic devices,” she said, praising the efforts of Qatar Charity in serving communities.
She also noted that Msheireb Properties would take part in such future initiatives of by Qatar Charity.
The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has launched ‘Digital Inclusion’ campaign in cooperation with Qatar Charity (QC) and in partnership with the Mall of Qatar.
The campaign was aimed at receiving donations of either used or new electronic devices to redistribute them to students, orphans, workers and widows in order to improve their technical knowledge and capabilities.
The in-kind donations of electronic devices such as computers, laptops, smart phones and tablets were collected at a booth in the mall, which also included activities for children such as colouring and handcrafts.
