Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), in collaboration with Northumbria University, participated in this year’s University Expo to raise public awareness about the university’s programmes and finance related degrees.
With the aim to raise awareness on the importance of higher education, QFBA-Northumbria united parents and students with admission officials to answer inquiries about their university education and their respective academic and professional future.
University Expo Qatar targets students aged 16 and above who are considering their higher education options as well parents, teachers, school administrators, counsellors and professionals pursuing educational opportunities.
Providing a platform to connect high school students with university degrees in line with the changing needs and landscape of Qatar’ booming market, University Expo 2019 provided a model opportunity for QFBA-Northumbria to participate.
Khalifa al Yafei, director of Academic Affairs and Operations, said: “We are thrilled to participate in this year’s University Expo as their vision align with those of QFBA-Northumbria which is to assist high school graduates in reaching their academic goals and aspirations with the guidance of experts in the field.
“Within many financial disciplines, access to the latest services in combination with internationally accredited degrees enables them to become true competitors in their respective labour market. Our aim to assist in molding the new generation of qualified and energetic youth entering the financial services sector is to raise the level of human capital and aid in positioning Qatar as an attractive and favourable financial hub in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.”
