HIA to showcase self-boarding facility at QITCOM Oct 15, 2019 0 703 12345 Tribune News NetworkDohaFor the first time in Qatar, the Hamad International Airport (HIA) will provide the paperless-airport-travel experience to the public at an exhibition to be held later this month in Doha.The biometric-enabled self boarding facility will be part of a raft of smart technologies HIA will demonstrate at its pavilion in the Qatar IT Conference and Exhibition 2019 (QITCOM). HIA is an official sponsor of the biannual event, scheduled to be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from October 29 to November 1.In line with QITCOM’s current theme, ‘Safe, Smart Cities’, the five-star airport plans to demonstrate the second phase of its smart airport technology. It will also demonstrate the use of robotics for passenger facilitation.
