The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and accompanying delegation in New York on Monday
The meeting took place at the residence of the Permanent Mission of Qatar to the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The two sides discussed the strategic relations between Qatar and Germany and ways of developing them in economy and trade.
Merkel expressed her gratitude to the Amir for Qatar’s investments in Germany. The two sides also exchanged views on key international developments as well as the developments in the Middle East, particularly in Libya. The meeting was attended by several members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
