Al Maraya’s two-week ongoing Open Fair Souq is a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their products, acquire new clients, and share experiences with their counterparts in many different fields, Jaber al Mansouri, CEO of Al Maraya Exhibitions and Conferences, has said.
The exhibition, which started on September 19, will run until October 1 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The Open Fair Souq is one of the region’s prime trade shows, featuring hundreds of exhibitors from different countries, showcasing and selling a wide range of products.
The exhibition is part of Al Maraya’s aim to promote tourism in Qatar. This year’s edition has recorded over 250 exhibitors from 20 countries.
The highlight of this year’s edition is the increase in the number of participants, the diversity of market locations to attract different categories of attendees, and the participation of new small scale enterprises from the Qatari market, allowing them to experience and feel the appetite for their products.
Jaber al Mansouri, CEO of Al Maraya Exhibitions and Conferences, said that the exhibition aims to encourage entrepreneurs and productive companies, develop their abilities and skills, and give them the opportunity to display their products and services through new windows and delivery to local markets to contribute to the diversification of the economy. Which is in line with Qatar’s drive to support SMEs, entrepreneurship development?
Al Mansouri added that they are keen to support household projects in order to take their rightful place in the local economy and contribute effectively to the sustainable development and prosperity of the Qatari society. The fifth edition of the Open Fair Souq is a continuation of the success of the first session of the market in the past years for household projects and their impact on the development of the national economy.
Al Mansouri pointed out that the aim of the market will continue to support and develop household projects and help them to raise the levels of production and access to local markets, in terms of quantity and quality in order to convert them into small and medium enterprises in the future. He said the souq offers a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their products, acquire new clients, share experiences with their counterparts in many different fields, and highlight the media-related projects to help spread them more widely.
