THE Higher Education Fair 2019 at Birla Public School (BPS), Doha, evoked an overwhelming response from students and parents with around 2,500 visiting the two-day fair.
The fair was inaugurated by President of Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC) Azim Abbas, Vice-Chairman of the School Management Gope Shahani and Principal AP Sharma, in the presence of the leadership team, teachers, staff members, parents and students.
The event was held as part of ‘Disha’ (Directing and Inspiring Students Advancement), a special programme for senior students.
It aimed at providing first-hand information about the various higher education courses available in Qatar and in foreign universities. Premium universities from the UK, the USA, Qatar and India showcased more than 100 courses at the fair.
Information about higher education courses of all the three streams i.e. Science, Humanities and Commerce was made available.
Guidance on the admission procedures, eligibility criteria, scholarships, interest profile testing and personal statement writing was also provided to the visitors.
Besides, career talks on topics like ‘Careers in Commerce’, ‘Careers in Banking and Finance’, ‘Careers of Future’, ‘Science of Success’, ‘Understanding the True Value of a Global Undergraduate Program’, ‘What After Class Twelve’ and ‘Liberal Education- The Right Choice’ were held to help the students and parents make prudent choice of courses.
School leadership team along with the administration manager and his team made great efforts to make the event successful.
