THE College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) recently hosted a high-level delegation from Qatar Shell. The visitors included Rashid al Sulaiti, deputy general manager, Qatar Shell; Christos Mylonas, GM (external & government relations); and Hussain alHijji, VP, Qatar Research & Technology Center.
They toured CNA-Q’s state-of-the-art facilities in its Engineering Technology and Industrial Trades programme, including an oil and gas processing pilot plant, materials and corrosion laboratory and a thermal laboratory.
Sulaiti and his colleagues also had several valuable interactions with students.
“We are very pleased to be able to welcome delegates from Shell and showcase our state-of-the-art facility to a world leader in the oil and gas industry,” said CNA-Q President Prof Khalifa al Khalifa.
“The oil and gas industry is one of our main stakeholders and CNA-Q is committed to providing the highest quality education and job-ready graduates to the oil and gas sector. We look forward to continuing our productive relationship with Shell in the years to come,” he said.
Hussain al Hijji from Shell said, “I am very impressed with the facilities and the programme offered to the students at the CNA-Q. I am convinced this will prepare them for a bright future in our industry.”
Sulaiti added, “I really enjoyed the interaction with the students and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with CNA-Q.”
