Muraikhi meets UNRWA commissioner general
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad al Muraikhi met on Tuesday with the Commissioner General for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Pierre Krahenbuhl, on the sidelines of the 152nd Session of the Arab League Council at the Ministerial Level in Cairo. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between Qatar and UNRWA and issues of common concern. (QNA)
QatarDebate concludes Adjudicators Academy in Kuwait
QatarDebate (QD), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), in collaboration with Kuwait National Debate Team, organised Adjudicators Academy recently in which 54 participants from various educational institutions in Kuwait took part. The four-day event was sponsored by Youth News Network in Kuwait. Badr al Shatti, ambassador of QD Center in Kuwait, said, “The Adjudicators Academy serves the development of adjudication mechanisms. It plays important role in developing the participants’ debate skills.” According to him, some of the adjudicators are qualified to be accredited judges locally and internationally and can also head QatarDebate tournaments.
