THE Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has extended assistance worth QR14,204,747 to the beneficiaries of the registered families in August, 2019. The amount includes periodic and lump-sum assistance, treatment assistance, debt aid and Eid Al-Adha requirements, all of which are provided by the fund’s administration to eligible beneficiaries from the families registered with them in accordance with Shariah regulations.

The Ministry of Awqaf has urged Muslims to observe fast on the days of Tasua, the 9th of Muharram, and Ashurah, the 10th of Muharram, 1441, in pursuance of the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). THE inaugural meeting of the principals and academic deputies of public schools began on Wednesday. Organised by the Training and Educational Development Center at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the programme seeks to introduce school officials to the compulsory training programme entitled ‘Specialised training in professional learning communities’.
