The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) Qatar Chapter defeated the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Qatar Chapter, 74 – 67, during the finals of the basketball tournament in the Philippine Professional Organizationsin Qatar (PPO-Q) Sportsfest 2019 held at the Al Arabi Sports Hall on Friday.
The civil engineers lifted the coveted championship title with an impressive 11 wins and no losses record throughout the Season. 
PICE-Qatar’s Gerlou Paulin was awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP) while his teammate Anthony Jad Caguioa was named the Finals MVP. 
UAP-Qatar bagged the First Runner-up award and was named went Best in Uniform. 
Earlier, the Philippine Nurses Association in Qatar (PNA-Q) defeated the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) and clinched the Second Runner-up slot.
Other awardees were Paradero of PICE Qatar as Best Coach, Amado Dilig of PSME for Sportsmanship and Dickson Roco of PNAQ as Defensive Player. 
The roster of Mythical Five includes Louie Dela Cruz (PICE), Jeofferson Abe (PNA-Q), Joey Bronola (PSME), Gerlou Paulin (PICE) and Joval Lo (UAP). 
For the badminton tournament, Pearl Diana Lubaton of the Filipino Radiologic Technologist Association in Qatar (FILRAQ) bagged the championship title in the Women’s Singles Category.
In the category of Women’s Doubles, PNAQ’s Aleli Lumapas and Ann Margareth Asane emerged as champions while JP Silang of PNA-Q dominated in the Men’s Singles Category.
In the Men’s Doubles division, PNA-Q’s Alain Hussein Dimaporo and Lou Andrew Ranola emerged as champion while PNA-Q Team comprised of Alain Dimaporo and Aleli Lumpas won in the Mixed Doubles.
