The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) delegation, which includes participants from Europe and North America, has concluded its successful visit to Qatar.
The AOC delegation’s visit was part of the UN 2019 fellowship programme entitled “The role of women in peacemaking and conflict prevention”.
The visit included meetings with Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al Hammadi, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lulwa Rashid al Khater and UN Secretary-General’s Humanitarian Envoy HE Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Muraikhi.
The delegation also visited Msheireb Museum, Museum of Islamic Art, National Museum of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, Qatar National Library, Silatech Foundation and Souq Waqif.
The delegation received a detailed explanation on the history of Qatar and the development currently witnessed by the State in all fields. (QNA)
