The Dr Mohamed Abdulla Al Emadi Medical Group conducted the soft opening of its new branch in the ‘North Gate’ Mall in Azghawa area. This comes as part of the group’s expansion plans, and to serve the residents of the northern region in Qatar.
The opening of the new hospital branch comes in line with the national strategy to fulfill the demand for medical services and cover as many areas as possible, especially the newly built and rapidly growing districts. With the soft opening of the new hospital, many patients from the northern region of the country started visiting the new clinics, which reflects the need for establishing a medical institution to meet the demand in this area.
Dr. Mohammed Abdulla al Emadi, Chairman of Dr Mohamed Abdulla Al Emadi Medical Group, said the Group based its strategy in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 towards developing human capital. “Qatar has made great strides in building a health system that meets the highest international standards, and its plans and strategies in the field are clearly implemented in spite of all challenges,” said Dr. Mohammed Abdulla Al Emadi.
“Over the years, the Al Emadi Medical Group has managed to gain a reputation for providing the highest quality of healthcare services to patients in Qatar. Today we offer high standards of medical services to citizens and residents,” added Dr. Al Emadi. He said the opening of the Al-Shamal Clinics is helping to strengthen their presence as a key player in the growing Qatari healthcare sector and in meeting the demands of patients.
“We look forward to becoming one of the leading providers of healthcare services and one of Qatar’s top destinations in this field. In order to achieve this goal, we are committed to providing the highest quality of medical services and provide them with the latest technologies and medical practices available as our hospitals provide integrated services,” he explained.
Dr. Abdulelah Al Adimi, Urology Senior Consultant and Medical Director at Al-Emadi Hospital, said the private medical sector supports the efforts of the Ministry of Public Health and Qatar’s strategy in health services. This approach was discussed by the board of directors and we discovered that the North region lacks integrated health services. It was because of this that we considered establishing more than one project in this region so as to cover the medical services in the country through future plans. The projects were established in several phases after
studies.
The first phase comprised the opening of outpatient clinics with accompanying medical services, including 15 medical consultants and 15 different medical clinics, in addition to integrated medical services such as laboratory and X-ray rooms, and pharmacy and nursing services, which were partially opened and will be officially opened soon.
The second phase, which will be available in the near future, will include a laboratory and an X-ray center so that the new hospital provides the latest
facilities.
As for the medical specialties in the clinics of the north, they will include:
1. Bariatric/General Surgery
2. E.N.T
3. Orthopedics
4. Urology
5. Cardiology
6. Obstetrics and Gynecology
7. Spine Surgery
8. Dentistry
9. Pediatrics
10. Ophthalmology
11. Internal Medicine
12. Pulmonology
13. Endocrinology
14. Minor OT & Endoscopy
15. Dermatology and others
Antoine Bassile, Assistant CEO and Public Relations and Patient Affairs Manager at Al Emadi Hospital, said the opening of Emadi Hospital clinics in the north region is a result of the overcrowding at Al Emadi Hospital headquarters. “As a result of a study conducted by our department, we found that a large number of the visitors to Al-Emadi Hospital in Al Hilal are from the Northern region. Therefore, the idea emerged and we made a decision to open permanent clinics in this area to provide our patients in this area with the best medical services that is close to them, and expand our health coverage to this area,” he explained.
He added that Al Emadi Hospital is a leading medical institution among the private hospitals in Qatar in terms of the quality of medical services provided. “Being on top of the list comes from years of experience and hard work, especially that the Chairman and founder of the hospital is one of the best and well-known surgeons in the region and is one of the best surgeons in general, bariatric, and laparoscopic surgeries in the Gulf region. We strive relentlessly for excellence and continuous development,” Bassile said.
Bassile accompanied journalists on a tour around the new hospital showcasing the different departments and facilities it has. The hospital is equipped with the latest medical devices and equipment. “The new clinic will be operating from 3pm to 9pm for the meantime until the grand opening when we’ll open in the morning time also,” he said. Regarding the grand opening, Bassile said it would happen in the near future.
He said they always welcome any recommendations and complaints to listen to the needs of their patients and improve the quality of services provided, especially during the soft opening period.
