The General Authority of Customs (GAC), and the Center for Customs and Excise Studies (CCES) of Charles Sturt University in Australia, discussed the means of developing educational programmes for GAC employees.
This came during a meeting between Chairman of GAC HE Ahmed bin Abdullah al Jamal and CCES Director and CEO Professor David Widdowson, where they discussed the possibility of training programme for Customs staff and the ways of promoting cooperation. The meeting was held at the General Authority of Customs office on Wednesday.
During the meeting, they addressed some of education issues that concern Customs employees studying at the Community College. They also discussed ways to develop Diploma of Customs and Bachelor of Border Management programmes and other issues related to the existing cooperation between GAC and CCES.
