The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has warned people against the distribution and consumption of a product named ‘Miracle Mineral Solution/Supplement’, which claims to have the ability to cure a number of diseases.
In a statement on Monday, the ministry cautioned that consumption of the solution may lead to death due to the presence of industrial chemicals in it. The supplement is being traded on social media platforms and being imported by some people for personal consumption, the statement said.
The ministry said it has received a warning from the World Health Organization about the adverse effects of consuming the mineral solution, which has no ability to cure diseases.
The ministry confirmed that import of this product is not permitted in Qatar, and it hasn’t been registered with the competent department.
The ministry has urged the public to be careful and not consume or import unreliable food and pharmaceutical products due to their health risks.
