Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) is getting set for summer with an exclusive Splash and Dash programme for adults and children.
Running from July 3 to August 25, the 6th edition of Splash and Dash will feature a wide variety of sporting activities, while the second summer camp will offer children a range of fun artistic and cultural activities to enjoy.
Adults and children alike are invited to participate in the fun at AZF’s world-class venues, which have become a popular destination for athletes and sports enthusiasts from around the world.
Now in its 6th edition, the Splash & Dash will give participants the opportunity to run around the indoor track at Aspire Dome and to swim in its Olympic pool on Mondays and Wednesdays every week from 7pm to 9pm.
AZF will provide a reception desk at the Aspire Dome entrance for those wishing to participate with fees of QR25 per day or QR400 for the full month. Registration is open to people aged six and above.
AZF is putting the final touches on its second edition of the summer camp for kids, which is scheduled to take place from July 7 to July 31. Boys and girls aged six to 13 can attend four days a week from 8am to 1:30pm.
The camp will take place at the Aspire Dome, Ladies Sports Hall and Aspire Park.
The camp’s programme will feature a variety of activities, including athletics, gymnastics, aerobics, long jump, tennis, badminton, swimming lessons and training sessions in basketball, handball, taekwondo, football and volleyball.
Children will also have the chance to take part in educational field trips to destinations across Doha, including the Al Thuraya Planetarium at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), the National Museum of Qatarand Kidzania.
Last year, the summer camp attracted more than 200 childrenand was a hit among parents, whose feedback was instrumental in bringing back a new and improved camp in 2019.
The summer camp is organised in partnership with Katara, Kidzania, National Museum of Qatar, the Cage Sport, Planet Medical Center and the STEM Xplorers.
