Students of Olive International School (OIS) won seven trophies in the skipping rope competition organised by the Indian Sports Centre (ISC) at the Ashoka Hall of the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) recently.
The event provided a platform for school students, teachers and parents to assess their competition skills and fitness. Participating students were divided into two categories – under-12 boys and girls, and under-18 boys and girls – and two events, Speed Hop and Speed Endurance, were held for each category. For parents and teachers, the competition was only in the Speed Endurance category.
A total of 36 students from all three campuses of the OIS participated in the competition. The winning students from OIS were Firoj Khan (Nuaija campus), Olivia Mariam (Umm Salal campus), Firoj Khan (Nuaija), Dwaraknath D (Umm Salal), Ramakrishna (Al Thumama campus) and Anushka Jadhav (Nuaija).
In the teacher’s category, Neha of OIS won 2nd place in the Speed Endurance event.
