Qatar takes part in Algeria International Quran Memorisation Competition
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) is participating in the Algeria International Quran Memorisation Competition, represented by Mohammed Abdullah Bleidah. The contestant has passed the initial test stage and qualified for the second stage of the competition, which is hosted by Algeria’s Capital Algiers from May 25 to 31. Fifty countries are taking part in the Quranic contest and this is the 16th edition of the competition. The winner of the competition will receive $10,000 prize money, while the runner up will receive $8,000 and the third prize winner gets $5,000. (QNA)
