Labanon President Michel Aoun has lauded the support extended by the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani to Lebanon, especially his participation in the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, held in Beirut last January. Aoun praised the Lebanese-Qatari relations.
The Lebanese president said this during his meeting with Minister of State Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al Kuwari at the Baabda Palace.
Kuwari conveyed HH the Amir’s greetings to the Lebanese president and condolences on the death of Patriarch Cardinal Mar Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir.
The Lebanese president thanked the Amir, the Qatari government and the people of Qatar for the care the Lebanese community receives in Qatar and the facilities offered to them in their work and contribution.
Kuwari said his participation in the funeral of the late Patriarch is to reaffirm the strength of Lebanese-Qatari relations, which Qatar is keen to develop in all fields.
