The Cabinet, at a meeting presided over by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani on Wednesday, approved a draft law on military decorations, orders and medals, and referred it to the Shura Council.
The draft law replaces Law No 12 of 1992 concerning decorations, orders, medals and flags of the Qatari Armed Forces and Law No 22 of 2002 on decorations, orders and medals of the police force.
According to Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Dr Issa bin Saad al Jafali al Nuaimi, the Cabinet took necessary procedures to ratify a memorandum of cooperation in the field of transport between Qatar’s Ministry of Transport and Communications and Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
The Cabinet also took necessary procedures to ratify a memorandum for economic, trade and technical cooperation between Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
The Cabinet took necessary procedures to ratify a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation in business events industry between the Qatar National Tourism Council and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
The Cabinet took necessary procedures to ratify a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Qatar’s Free Zone Authority and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
The Cabinet also took necessary procedures to ratify protocol to cooperate between Qatar-China Friendship Association and the Chinese-Arab Friendship Association.
The Cabinet approved a draft MoU for cooperation in the civil service affairs and administrative development between the governments of Qatar and Kuwait.
Besides, the Cabinet approved the draft first executive programme of cooperation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research of the MoU for cooperation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research between the governments of Qatar and Somalia for the academic years (2019/2020, 2020/2021, 2021/2022).
The Cabinet reviewed the memorandum of the Minister of Municipality and Environment on the proposed mechanism to provide a database on the real estate sector in the country and took the appropriate decision.
