The baskets were personally delivered by Vodafone Qatar’s Head of Public Sector Mohamed al Yafei and the company’s Brand Ambassador Ali bin Towar al Kuwari. The baskets contained essentials such as chicken, rice, pasta, lentils and milk and included enough food to feed an entire family throughout the holy month. In parallel, Vodafone Qatar and Hifz Al Naema will use their social media channels to raise awareness about food wastage, a major issue in Qatar. The initiative is being organised as part of Vodafone Qatar’s broad ranging corporate social responsibility programme during the holy month under the banner of the company’s Ramadan campaign #ShukranFromTheHeart. Yafei said: “We’re proud to once again partner with Hifz Al Naema to share our blessing during the holy month. Hifz Al Naema is doing incredible work to identify and help those less fortunate, so it’s important that the private and public sector support their honourable mission.” Youssef Al-Khulaifi, manager of Hifz Al Naema, said that the food basket project is one of the centre’s Ramadan initiatives designed to provide support to families that have registered. He also praised Vodafone for its support for the second year in row, emphasising that Hifz Al Naema welcomes partnerships and collaborations of all kinds with companies and government institutions. This reflects the level of commitment to corporate social responsibility required from organisations to help realise the Qatar National Vision 2030, he said.Hifz Al Naema is a social awareness centre that utilises, rationalises and recycles the resources available to society in the best way possible.
