A total of 29 students from MES Indian School visited the Qatar National Library (QNL) recently.
Dana, the tour guide, introduced the children to the enchanting world of books.
She shared information on the general functioning of the library besides briefing the students about the prerequisites of obtaining a membership card and the way to use online resources at the library.
She took the students on a guided tour to various places like the Innovation Stations, Heritage library, Children’s Library and Study Spaces.
She also explained how books can help them realise their goals in life.
The students were fascinated by the Innovation Stations, where they could get free access to 3D printing and scanning, recording studio, musical instruments and recording equipment, do-it-yourself electronics.
The students were then allowed to explore the different sections of the library.
The visit gave the students an insight into the availability of an ocean of material which can be
used for educational and pleasure reading in various languages.
