MES Indian School recently organised a workshop for its teachers to equip them with the latest and innovative methods in teaching and the method of setting effective questions.
Inaugurating the programme, MES Principal Hameeda Kadar highlighted the importance of garnering vital information and putting into use effectively the knowledge gained from such workshops for the benefit of the students.
She also urged the teachers on the need to update teaching strategies to the preferred and latest requirements, as bringing changes within is a remedy for an effective teaching-learning process in classrooms.
Teachers from all sections of the school attended the capacity-building programme as the resource person Tapati Chatterjee, an eminent educationalist along with the representatives of S Chand, New Delhi, India, dealt with an array of topics which included objectives and purpose of questioning, various methods and strategies to be adopted while setting effective questions for the present day generation, Blooms Taxonomy of learning, changing terminology and different types of questions based on Blooms Taxonomy with the aid of PowerPoint presentation, video clips and handouts.
The session was informative as the teachers interacted enthusiastically and clarified their doubts during the question-answer session.
Rema Devi, department of English, proposed vote of thanks, while Sheela Pauly, department of Chemistry, coordinated the programme.
