Speaker of the Shura Council and President of the 140th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) HE Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al Mahmoud met separately on Tuesday with Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov, Speaker of the National Assembly of Gambia Mariam Jack-Denton, Chairperson of the National Council of Namibia Peter Hitjitevi Katjavivi and Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Asad Qaiser.
The Shura Speaker also met with President of the House of Councillors of Morocco Hakim Benchamach.
During the meetings, they discussed the parliamentary relations between Qatar and their respective countries.
The meetings were attended by HE Saqr bin Fahd al Meraikhi, member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Qatari-Moroccan Parliamentary Friendship Committee. (QNA)
